Jabbas Letterboxes

Last found OK:   6/27/06....we checked up on them

Jabba is a friend of ours who has been Geocaching with us for quite a long time!!  He even has his own page!!  He has yet to Letterbox however...until now!  Come along and meet some of Jabbas Troop!

Hidden in Arcadia Management Area where there is hunting during hunting season  (Oct--Feb) so please wear orange if you visit during this time!!

Clues and terrain easy.  Around 2.5 miles or so round trip.  Take Rt. 165 in RI to Summit Rd. (across from the white church).  Follow Summit Road 1.5 miles to find the red gate on the left.  You can park here as well.  Please email us with any successful (or unsuccessful) finds so we can post the last verified "OK" dates.  Thanks!!

Follow the lane past the red gate.  Soon, lane will go left, you will continue straight up on the trail up the hill heading generally NE.  Path will level out.  Continue on until you find a tree and rock in the middle of the trail  [edit......after reading some comments, that was a little vague.  The trail fork around the waist high rock and the tree as well as go between them.]

From the north side of this tree, take 18 paces at 57.  "Sabola" lies in the mossy stump of a small fallen tree you will there.  Rehide well!

Continue on the trail to a T.  Take the trail at 67.  Continue on to a Y where you will take the trail at 21.  You will shortly pass another trail on the right which you will ignore.  You will come to another T.  Here you will take the trail at 237.  Continue on for a ways.  Path will swing north and further on you will come upon an upright tall dead tree to the left of the trail.  From this dead tree, take 20 paces at 307 to a knee high boulder in the ground.  "Donkor" is hidden under leaves and bark on the NW side of this rock.

After visiting, proceed onward to another T. Go north on this blue blazed trail.  Soon you will see a stone wall on your left then come upon a convergence of many trails.  From the end of the stone wall, swing left and follow the trail (Dove Crest Trail) south along the western side of the stone wall for 29 paces.  A tall pine should be to your left.   "Bayani" is hidden in the base of the stone wall behind this pine.  Western side, under a rock.

After visiting Bayani, continue on the Dove Crest Trail, heading south, staying on the main path, ignoring any side trails.  When the path reaches a woods road, go right then a little further on another right back to your car.  Jabba hopes you had fun visiting his Troop!
